MyCAA Scholarship
The Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) Scholarship was created to help spouses pursue higher education. The scholarship provides eligible spouses with up to $4,000.00 of financial assistance for qualified programs, with an annual fiscal year cap of $2,000.00.

The MyCAA Scholarship will cover tuition costs for licenses, certifications or associate degrees or for continuing education courses to maintain a license or certification required for employment.
Who is Eligible for MyCAA?
Spouses of service members on active duty under qualifying Title 10 orders in pay grades E-1 to E-9, W-1 to W-3, and O-1 to O-3, as well as spouses of National Guard or Reserve service members in the same pay grades.
Who is NOT Eligible for MyCAA?
- Spouses married to service members in pay grades E-9 and above; W-3 and above; above O-3
- Spouses who are a member of the armed forces themselves currently on Title 10 orders
- Spouses who are married but legally separated (or under court order or statute of any state or US territory) from a member of the armed forces on Title 10 orders
- Spouses whose National Guard/reserve component military sponsor is in a Warning Orders/Alert, Post Deployment/Demobilization or Transition Status
- Visit the MyCAA portal to register for the program.
- Apply for admission and select MyCAA in the Affiliations and Memberships drop-down menu in the Complete your Profile section.
- Inform your admissions representative that you intend to use MyCAA.
- Complete steps for admission and transfer credit (if applicable).
- Register for the approved MyCAA courses - Selecting Employee Voucher as your method of payment and enter the employer name and address: Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts | 2107 Wilson Boulevard, Suite 100 | Arlington, VA 22209. Enter the EIN number: 111111111
- Request your Scholarship Education and Training Plan from [email protected] once your transfer credit evaluation has posted to your academic plan and course registration(s) have been placed.
Please note: If your name appears differently in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) from what your AMU/APU account reflects, you must update your name with AMU/APU. You can complete this by emailing [email protected]. Once this is complete, please email [email protected] with your full name and the answers to your security questions on file to request your Scholarship Education and Training Plan. - Upload your approved plan into your MyCAA portal.
- Log into the MyCAA portal, print out a copy of your confirmed Financial Assistance (FA) award, and upload this in your ecampus or email it to [email protected].
